how do i deal with a fiance who is depressed, who hate me going to the gym, adn is depressed when i get home?
i go to the gym with my mum and sister. and he claims that its my mums cunning way to capture me. i get home and he is crying. ad now he says its all going to go down hill, coz we wont get ne time together. mind you, my whole entire weekend we do absalutly everything, and im home with him everynight. except for an hour, for liek 2 nights.
its driving me insane. i dont know how longer i can take this. its terribly unfair. and not to mension, he wont take his medication. mybe threats of leaving him will help? i cant confort him, because im so hurt and upset and angury
i cant tak ehim to the gym, because he is shy about his body, and hes been before, but he wont go back. he has meds, but he wont take them. he is seeing a counciler, but we it doesnt seem to be helping a great deal. we are about to go to a different one shortly.

This is a tough question to answer.
I believe that for you to be able to help your partner you need to learn more about depression, its causes and treatment.
You would be wise to convince him that he needs to continue taking his medication as more problems may arise if he suddenly stops. This medication needs to be tapered off under the supervision of a medical practitioner when the time is right.
You may aggravate the problem though if you threaten to leave him as you have suggested.
I suggest that you read the introduction to the book “Understanding and Curing Depression.”
It discusses things about how to help yourself or loved ones that may be suffering from depression and can be found via the site below.
