Gold’s Gym Deals Membership

How can I ensure a fair transaction?

I found an online listing for a gold’s gym membership. It’s a pretty good deal and I’ve already spoken with the seller and we’ve agreed on the price and terms of the arrangement. It’s a really good deal, but not like too-good-to-be-true. I spoke with him and he seems pretty legit.

But, here’s the problem: He lives about 3 hours away. I thought I could just mail him a check and have him mail me the papers for the account. . . but how can I ensure that I won’t get ripped off?

I don’t want to pay for a third party to ensure the transaction, but what if I do a post-dated check and tell him to send it and cash it after I receive the check. That way, if I don’t get the papers, I could cancel the check – right? or can I?

First you should call Gold’s gym and see if the membership can be transfered most CANNOT . If you pay and it’s a rip off cancelling the check will cost you to stop the check.
