Basic Steps to achieve a six pack abs

How many times have you stood before the mirror; wondering when will you get that perfect shape of you favorite Actor. But standing in front of that mirror will not help you. To get your body in shape you will have to be ready to sweat out in a gym and expose your body to the pain of hard work and exercises.

Many people feel it is important to visit a gym every day to have a set of six pack abs; this is a myth. You can work out from your home and have your body in the perfect shape that you dream of while standing in front of that mirror.

Although many trainers will ignore Discipline but it is the first and foremost quality that you will have to develop in yourself once you have made up your mind to get into shape. Unplanned exercises and diet will take you nowhere. Chalk out a plan for yourself which exercises you will be taking up on which day and lay a diet chart for yourself. Make a promise to yourself that you will follow both these plans religiously.

To build a six pack abs the best bet is Crunches. Traditional crunches are my favorite for that you have to lie down on your back with your knees bent and fold your arms on your chest. The next step is to list your shoulders with the help of your abs towards your knees. Do a set of ten initially and increase it by atleast two every alternate day.

Another set of exercises that you can adopt is the Leg raises. Keep lying on your back with the knees slightly bent and then lift your legs up above your abdomen and then bring them to the same position.

Make sure to keep an eye on your diet. Instead of having the traditional 3 days a meal try having 5-6 small meals with ample quantities of carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins. Take help from a dietician or a trainer to plan out your exercise and diet plan.
